Nashville Spring

We have been in Nashville for over six months and have been enjoying the time we have here. They have very mild winters compared to Utah-virtually no snow at all. But they do have a lot of rain. Recently we have also had many tornado warnings. Fortunately we have not been affected by them at all-except for Curt who had to wait for his bus 45 minutes in the rain and was not thrilled or dry at all by the time he did arrive home.We have loved the nice spring days and have loved to go outdoors and enjoy the sunshine only found sp0radically in between rain showers.
Joshua has recently been learning so many new words and using them all the time. Finally about a month ago he started to call Anna by her name instead of just "A". He constantly refers to her as "His Anna." When we hear him say something for the first time, we usually do not understand it. I guess we are just slow. Some new phrases, he picks up quickly. The last couple of days he has constantly been telling me what a rough day he has had. We have been trying to convince him he really had a fun day.
Anna is almost a year old. She is becoming more and more mobile every day. This means she is becoming more and more interested in her surroundings and finding out about everything. She has been dumping everything out and I am ready to invest in more cupboard door locks. She also has a beautiful smile. She is usually very happy and will have a big smile for any one who spends a minute working for it. This last week along with a horrible cold that both Joshua and Anna caught, Anna cut her top front three teeth. She is still working on more. She loves to use them on anyone or anything near her-they are razor sharp!

October 2008
Curt graduated from BYU with his masters degree in Mathematics with an emphasis in topology. We have successfully moved into our new little home here in Nashville Tennessee and are getting to know our new city. We have a wonderful ward here and have been getting to know many new people. Nashville is a beautiful place very green and humid. We are not used to having such warm weather this late in the year. We are still wearing our shorts and sandles every day. The warm weather is partly due to the high humidity. Unfortunately, we are still running the AC. We are been exploring here in Nashville and have found many new parks and fun places to go. Joshua loves to leave and go places, while Anna screams every time she has to get in the car seat. A few days ago while our car was getting fixed we all went for a walk. The Cumberland River, which is quite large, is located about 1/2 mile from our home. It is surrounded by trees and is not readily visible unless you are looking for it. We walked down to the dock and watched a big steamer push 12 flats upstream.
